Wood is now the winningest team in James Wood history with 20 wins in a season, and is also the 1st Regional Champion since 1985. James Wood will host the State Quarter Final game at the Hott on Tuesday vs. Salem at 6:00 PM.

Wood beat #1 seed Tuscarora 7-0 to win the Region Semi-Final. Nick Bell (10-2) pitcheD a complete-game shutout for the win allowing 5 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, and striking out 8.
Offensively, Wood’s pressure attack was led by Bodie Pullen who went 3-4, 2 runs, stolen base. Brody Bower was 2-3, 2 runs, RBI, and a stolen base. Jacob Roy was 1-3, run, RBI, 2 stolen bases. Colin McGuire 1-3, RBI. Kemper Omps 1-3, run and Eli Miller 1-4, double, RBI.

Wood beat Kettle Run 2-0 in the District semifinal on Friday.
