The James Wood JV Colonels came out hot on Friday and never looked back, shutting out Millbrook 15-0 in a commanding win!
The offense exploded in the first inning, with Marleigh Dehaven and Karly Easterday drawing early walks to score runs, followed by a clutch two-RBI single from Maggie Maynard. The Colonels kept the pressure on in the second and third innings, capitalizing on walks and timely hitting—including a two-RBI single from Easterday and more RBI contributions from Maddie Dalton and Dehaven.
On the mound, Maynard was untouchable, throwing three no-hit innings with three strikeouts and no walks to earn the shutout win.
At the plate, Maynard and Easterday drove in three runs each, while Dehaven showed patience with three walks. The team drew a jaw-dropping 17 walks and stole 5 bases, with Taylor Fishel swiping two.

Big Inning Powers James Wood JV Softball Past Strasburg!
The James Wood JV Colonels took control with a six-run fourth inning to defeat Strasburg 11-3 on Wednesday! Karly Easterday launched a two-run home run, while Taylor Fishel, Marlee Gilbert, and Sophia Rohrbach each delivered clutch RBIs to fuel the rally.
Taliah Sheppard kicked things off with an RBI single in the first, and Maggie Maynard dominated in relief, throwing four shutout innings with seven strikeouts and allowing just one hit.
The Colonels racked up 13 hits and ran wild on the basepaths with 11 stolen bases, including five from Maynard! Easterday led the team with three RBIs, while multiple players — including Maynard, Gilbert, and Marleigh Dehaven — had multi-hit games.

The James Wood JV Colonels earned another impressive win on Tuesday, defeating Skyline 5-0 behind a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate from Karly Easterday, who also drove in two runs. Maggie Maynard was dominant in the circle, pitching five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts, and Taylor Fishel slammed the door with two more shutout innings and five strikeouts of her own. The Colonels totaled 11 hits in the game, with strong performances from Reece Madagan, Sophia Rohrbach, Maynard, and Easterday. Madagan also swiped two bases, adding to the team’s all-around effort.

James Wood JV Softball Stays Hot with Big Win Over Warren County!
The James Wood JV Colonels kept their momentum going with a 15-3 victory over Warren County on Friday! Marlee Gilbert led the offense, going 3-for-4 with multiple runs scored, while Marleigh Dehaven drove in three RBIs to power the Colonels' early lead.
Karly Easterday pitched four strong innings, striking out five, and Maggie Maynard closed it out with a dominant inning of relief, striking out three without allowing a hit.
Taylor Fishel, Ryleigh Lauck, and Madison Funk helped ignite the base paths with multiple stolen bases, and once again the Colonels' defense was perfect — zero errors in the game!

Madagan Leads the Charge in Another Shutout Win for James Wood JV Softball!
The James Wood JV Colonels rolled past Spring Mills with a 13-0 victory on Thursday! Reece Madagan had a perfect day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two doubles and 3 RBIs to lead the offense.
Karly Easterday delivered a big 3-run single in the first inning, while Taliah Sheppard smashed a 2-run triple in the third. Sophia Rohrbach also had a strong showing with 3 hits and a team-high 6 defensive plays.
In the circle, Taylor Fishel threw 3 no-hit innings with 6 strikeouts, and Maggie Maynard closed it out with 2 more shutout innings and 4 strikeouts. The Colonels totaled 15 hits and played error-free defense.

James Wood JV Softball Dominates Brentsville District!
The James Wood Junior Varsity Colonels rolled to a 12-0 win over Brentsville District on Monday, led by Taylor Fishel, who struck out 12 batters and gave up just 2 hits over four shutout innings!
Offensively, Emma Lamkin, Marlee Gilbert, Maggie Maynard, and Marleigh Dehaven all drove in runs, while Taliah Sheppard, Karly Easterday, and Maddie Dalton helped cap off a six-run fourth inning. Sophia Rohrbach led the team with two hits. The Colonels stole 10 bases and didn’t commit a single error.

The James Wood Junior Varsity Colonels beat Sherando 15-2 on Tuesday with an explosive offensive performance! Taylor Fishel launched a two-run homer! Marlee Gilbert & Sophia Rohrbach each had two hits, leading the offense! Ryleigh Lauck, Reece Madagan, & Karly Easterday all added RBIs to the scoring frenzy. Easterday also pitched four strong innings, allowing just two runs! The team stole six bases and even turned a double play!
The team shut out Sherando with a 6-0 victory in game 2. Maggie Maynard was unstoppable, striking out 10 batters and allowing zero runs in five innings. A four-run first inning set the tone, with key contributions from Taliah Sheppard, Maynard, and Emma Lamkin! Marlee Gilbert led the team with two hits, while Sophia Rohrbach drove in two runs! Taylor Fishel showed speed on the bases, swiping two steals. The defense was flawless, committing zero errors, with Rohrbach making 11 plays in the field.
