The Men’s Varsity basketball team won a hard fought game with a wild finish 78-77 vs the Fauquier Falcons. Bodie Pullen went 1 for 2 from the free throw line to put the Colonels up 1 with 0.5 seconds on the clock. Cole Stowers led four Colonels in double digits with 21 points. Josh Borromeo finished with 19, Ashton Kees with 13, and Chris Morrison with 10. The boys' team is back in action on Friday at Handley in the NWD quarterfinals with game time at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $6.00 at the door (cash only at Handley).

The boys' basketball team lost a hard fought game vs Kettle Run, 63 - 47. Leading the Colonels in scoring was Cole Stowers with 24 points. Bodie Pullen chipped in 8 and Josh Borromeo finished with 9 points. The team is back in action on Wednesday at Handley. Tickets are available only at the door.

Leading scorers for the Colonels were Cole Stowers and Brandon Waters each with 12 points, while Ashton Kees and Josh Borromeo both chipped in 7 points. The varsity boys' basketball team earned its first win of the season on Tuesday night on the road against Fauquier, 45-43. Statistical leaders for the Colonels were Josh Borromeo with 13 points and 9 rebounds, Cole Stowers and Chris Morrison with 10 points each, and Bodie Pullen pulled down 9 rebounds. Their next game is Wednesday at Woodgrove. They then host Freedom on December 28.

The boys' team lost two hard fought games this past weekend, 51-67 at Millbrook on Friday and 64-73 on Saturday at Colonial Forge. Leaders in game one for the Colonels were Cole Stowers with 20 points, Josh Borromeo with 13 points, and Andrew Link, Brandon Waters, and Ben Tollock each with 5. In the CF game, Cole Stowers scored 23 points, Josh Borromeo scored 13, Chris Morrison had 8 points and 7 Rebounds, and Brandon Waters and Andrew Link each with 7 points.
The boys' teams travel to Fauquier on Tuesday with game times at 6:00 and 7:30.

Stats leaders for the evening were Josh Borromeo with 22 points and 6 rebounds, Chris Morrison with 6 points and 8 rebounds, Cole Stowers with 5 points and 4 assists, Brandon Waters with 6 points, and Jacob Roy with 4 steals.
The JV team lost 59-22. Leading the Colonels in scoring were Kemper Omps, Trevor Thacker, Shawn Johnson, and Jordyn Sweetser, each with 4 points.
The Colonels are idle until December 17 when they travel to Millbrook.

The Varsity Men's basketball team lost a hard fought battle in their season opener at Sherando on Tuesday night, 47-43. Leaders for the Colonels: Cole Stowers with 18 points and Josh Borromeo with 16 points and 6 rebounds.
The JV Men's Team also lost a highly defensive, intense contest 36-25. Alex Gritton and John Copenhaver each had 5 points.

The boys' basketball team will be having a Player/Parent meeting on Wednesday, October 27th from 6-645 pm in the auxiliary gym. This meeting is mandatory for all prospective players, INCLUDING fall athletes, that are planning on trying out starting November 8. We will discuss tryouts, season expectations, and program goals. Once again, this should be attended by all prospective players. We will have offseason workouts immediately following the meeting.
