Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Basketball Team on their 1st round tournament win Friday night over Liberty, 56-21. Emmagrace Bursey led the scoring with 14 points. Aleeya Silver added 11 points, 7 rebounds, 7 steals and 5 blocked shots. Brynna Nesselrodt had 9 points and 5 rebounds. Gabby Valentinetti scored 9 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Aubrey Grove had 6pts, 9 rebounds and blocked 5 shots. Rounding out the scoring were Jolie Jenkins with 4 points and Katie Dooley with 3 points.
The Lady Colonels will travel to Sherando Tuesday night to play in the semifinal round with tip-off at 6. The winner will advance to both the district championship game and the Region 4C tournament.

The JV team beat the Cougars 35-24. Leading scorers were Madison Manuel (11), Mary Kimble (8), Katie Dooley (6), and Cadence Reig (4).
The Lady Colonels are back on the floor tonight when they host Handley at FCMS. The JV game starts at 6 and the Varsity will play at 7:30.

Aubrey Grove led the team with her first double-double of her career. She scored a career high 14 points and pulled down a career high 16 rebounds. Jolie Jenkins turned in a great all-around game with 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 blocked shots. Rounding out the double- digit scoring were Aleeya Silver with 14 points and Brynna Nesselrodt with 12 points. The Lady Colonels made an impressive return to the court Wednesday night, with a 78-62 win over Jefferson High School of WV in the 1st round of the James Wood Holiday Tournament.
Brynna Nesselrodt turned in her 1st career double-double with 30 points and 13 rebounds. She was an impressive 5 for 6 from 3-point range. Aleeya Silver turned in her best game as a Lady Colonel with 16 points and 5 rebounds, including 3 3-pointers. Gabby Valentinetti scored 10 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and had 6 steals. Emma Grace Bursey rounded out the double digit scoring with 10 points. Aubrey Grove put in 4 points, brought down 6 rebounds and blocked 6 shots. Rounding out the scoring were Jolie Jenkins (3 pts), Kayla Relihan (2 pts), Josie Russell (2 pts) and Nayah Edwards (1pt).
The Colonels will take the floor again tomorrow night for the championship game against the winner of the Freedom/Musselman game. Tip-off is slated for 4pm.

The Lady Colonels won their fourth straight game last night with a 62-59 win over Hampshire High School, improving to 4-5 on the season.
Aubrey Grove led the team with her first double-double of her career. She scored a career high 14 points and pulled down a career high 16 rebounds. Jolie Jenkins turned in a great all-around game with 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 blocked shots. Rounding out the double- digit scoring were Aleeya Silver with 14 points and Brynna Nesselrodt with 12 points. The Lady Colonels made an impressive return to the court Wednesday night, with a 78-62 win over Jefferson High School of WV in the 1st round of the James Wood Holiday Tournament.
Brynna Nesselrodt turned in her 1st career double-double with 30 points and 13 rebounds. She was an impressive 5 for 6 from 3-point range. Aleeya Silver turned in her best game as a Lady Colonel with 16 points and 5 rebounds, including 3 3-pointers. Gabby Valentinetti scored 10 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and had 6 steals. Emma Grace Bursey rounded out the double digit scoring with 10 points. Aubrey Grove put in 4 points, brought down 6 rebounds and blocked 6 shots.
