The James Wood football team earned its first win of the season on Friday night at Park View by a score of 23-6.
Offensively the Colonels were led by senior Dade Carroll who went 5 for 6 with 116 yards passing and a TD pass, freshman William Crowder who had 94 yards rushing and 2 TD runs, senior Isaac Schrantz who had 68 yards on 18 carries, and senior tight end Noah Sullivan who had a 71-yard touchdown reception.
Defensively the Colonels were led by Chris Lakin with 9 tackles, 1 ½ sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. Dominic Revetta had 7 tackles and 2 sacks, Ryan Bearer had a big interception that set up an offensive touchdown pass, and Sam Costin broke through with 2 QB sacks.
The Colonels will host the Warren County Wildcats in Friday's Hall of Fame Game with kickoff at 7:00 PM. The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM, with a reception starting at 4:30.
