The girls' track team captured the Handley Invitational team title on Saturday by scoring 90 points to edge second-place Fauquier.  The field events again proved to be the deciding factor as multiple Colonels scored in their respective events. Rene Rosso led the way by scoring 43 points for Wood by finishing first in the long jump, second in the 100 and 300 intermediate, high jump, and triple jump, and third as a member of the 1600 meter relay team.  Emma Hammond added a 1st-place finish the triple jump, and Mackenzie Konyar added 9 points by placing it the 1600 and 3200 meter distance events.

For the boys, Chris Vitagliano placed 3rd in the long jump and 6th in the triple jump, while Chance Grove placed 6th in the discus.
