James Wood beat Skyline in varsity softball at home on Wednesday night by a score of 3-2. Lauren King pitched all 7 innings, striking out 5 and allowing only 5 hits. King was 2-2 with an RBI, Alyssa Brown was 1-3 with a double, Haley Kaiser was 1-3 with an RBI, and Afton Sykes was 1-3 with the game winning RBI.  James Wood's overall record is 16-3.  Their final regular season game will be on Monday at Handley at 6:00 PM. 

The varsity baseball team won both ends of a double-header over the Hawks at Hott Field.  The games had been shortened to five-inning contests, but the Colonels needed extra innings in game one before pulling ahead and winning 5-1.  Wood then took the nightcap 3-1.  The team's record now stands at 8-11 with the final regular season game against Handley at Jim Barnett Park on Monday.
