Spring sports tryouts begin Monday, February 19 for the sports of baseball, softball,  track & field, boys' and girls' soccer, and boys' and girls' tennis.  Athletes must have an approved 2017-18 Virginia High School League physical approved before participating in tryouts, and must have passed at least five courses in the first semester and be taking at least five in the second semester.  Athletes making a team will be required to pay the $75.00 Frederick County Public Schools participation fee prior to the first regular season contest.  Please visit this site in late January for specific tryout information.

James Wood baseball tryouts begin Monday, February 19. Signup sheet and all the information regarding tryouts is on the baseball bulletin board located right outside the boys locker room by the main gym.

Softball tryouts are February 19-21 from 3:00-5:00 PM. (Feb. 12-14-15).

Boys' soccer tryouts will be held at the following times:
Monday 9-11am regardless of indoors or outdoors
Tuesday 3-4:30 outdoors - indoors 7:45-9:15pm
Wednesday 3-4:30 outdoors

Boys' tennis will begin on Tuesday, February 20 from 2:45-5:00 PM at the tennis courts.
