The varsity volleyball team improved its record to 8-0 after wins at Sherando on Friday night and at home vs. Spring Mills on Monday. On Friday, the teams fought to a 2-2 tie after four games with the Colonels dominating in games two and three, but numerous service errors dogged the team in games one and four. The Warriors jumped to a 12-6 lead in the fifth and deciding game, but the Colonels rallied for nine unanswered points to secure the game and the match.
On Monday, the team won in three games but the Cardinals did not go quietly, taking the Colonels to extra tie-breaking points in game three before Wood ultimately secured the match.
The JV and varsity teams will host Hampshire High School on Tuesday and Williamsport High School on Thursday.
