Kim Warnagiris and Brian Hua represented James Wood at the VHSL 4A State Championships this past weekend and placed in their respective events.  Kim placed 4th in the 100 yard butterfly in a time of :56.78 and 5th in the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:08.22, both of which broke her previous school records.  Those are the highest individual finishes for a James Wood swimmer in school history.  Brian Hua placed 12th in the 100 yard butterfly in a time of :54.45, also improving his school-record mark. Congratulations to Kim and Brian and to Coach Cavanagh and Coach Fordyce on these outstanding accomplishments!
