James Wood softball beat Liberty 7-2 on Tuesday night. Lani Spielman started and pitched 6 1/3 innings with 7 strikeouts. Ivy Rosenberry entered in the 7th inning with the bases loaded and shut the door striking out both batters she faced. Olivia Miller was 1-2 with 2 walks and 2 RBI's. Ivy Rosenberry was 2-3 with 3 RBI'S, Lindsey Anderson was 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI's, and Rebecca Boone was 2-3. Mackenzie Mccarty was 1-2 with a double. The teams' overall record improves to 6-2 ( district 3-1).
The girls’ tennis team beat Liberty 7-2 behind singles wins by Lily Kimble, Taylin Crosen, Alyssa Aycock, Carly Pennington, and Savannah Keller, and doubles wins by Kimble and Crosen and Pennington and Lauren Klubertanz. The Colonels are now 4-3 overall (district 2-2)
The varsity girls' soccer team picked up a 2-1 win at Liberty. Katie Padgett scored both goals, one of which was a penalty kick score.
Maddy Milburn got the assist on the second goal.
All teams will be in action against Millbrook on Thursday.
