James Wood beat Fauquier on Tuesday night 4-2 in a big district matchup. Lani Spielman started and pitched 4 innings with 7 strikeouts. Ivy Rosenberry pitched 3 scoreless innings in relief with 4 strikeouts. Both pitchers combined for a one hitter with the only hit coming on a bunt single. Olivia Miller was 2-4, Rebecca Boone was 1-3 with an RBI, and Lani Spielman was 2-4 with a HR and 3 RBI'S. Emma Van Horn and Lindsey Anderson both added 2 walks each and a run scored. 

The Colonels travel to Spring Mills on Wednesday with JVs starting at 5:00 and varsity at 7:00.  The next district game for the team is on Friday at home vs. Handley.
