On Tuesday morning, James Wood senior Amber Wooldridge signed to play college basketball at Division III Eastern Mennonite University. During the 2017-18 season, Wooldridge was 2nd for the Colonels in scoring at 16.2 points per game with a total of 372 scored this season. She scored 10+ points in 21 out of 24 games, and in 13 of those she had 15 or more points. She had a 30 point performance against Kettle Run. She was also second on the team in 3-pointers with 44. She averaged 2.7 assists per game for a total of 57 assists on the season. She finished her James Wood career with 712 points, 97 3-pointers, 220 rebounds, 131 assists, and 129 steals. She received the girls' basketball coach's award at the JWAA Banquet on Monday evening for her contributions.
