James Wood softball beat Jefferson 5-0 on the road Monday night. Ivy Rosenberry threw a complete game shutout, striking out 13 while only allowing 2 hits. Leading the Colonels at the plate was Ivy Rosenberry 3-4 with 3 doubles and 2 RBIs. Rebecca Boone 2-4 with a double and 2 RBIs, and Hannah Davis was 2-3 with a double. Caitlyn Shutts picked up her first varsity hit with a single. Jenna Burkhamer and Mackenzie McCarty were each 1-3. The Colonels travel to Clarke County on Tuesday.
The varsity baseball team scored six runs in the bottom of the 6th to beat Dominion 7-1 on Monday at home. Jacob Bell allowed only one run in six innings of work, and Luke Gross retired the Titans in order in the 7th to seal the win. The JV and varsity teams will host Spring Mills on Tuesday with games at 4:00 and 7:00.
