The boys' and girls' cross country teams competed on Saturday in the Central High School Invitational. Both teams finished 2nd out of 24 teams. Notable performances:

• In the girls' varsity race, Kenzie Konyar finished 6th, and Lauren Beatty finished 7th.
• In the boys' varsity race, Nathaniel Woshner finished 8th.
• In the JV girls' race, Natalie Huntley finished 5th, Bianca Linares finished 7th, and Lillian Lovelace finished 10th.
• In the JV boys' race, Dalton Krossman finished 1st, Jimmy Burdock finished 3rd, Nathan Arce finished 5th, and David Newman finished 15th.

The Colonels will compete in the Judges Classic at Kernstown Battlefield on Saturday, September 7 with races starting at 9:00 AM.
