The Colonels competed in the Conference 21 West Cross Country Championships on Wednesday at the Kernstown Battlefield and had strong individual performances. Freshman MacKenzie Konyar won the individual girls' title, running a time of 19:46 which was :18 faster than the runner-up.  Haley Witt (11th) and Autumn Hottle (13th) advanced to next week's 4A West regional championship which will also be at Kernstown.  Senior Max Lindquist was the top boys' finisher for James Wood, placing 6th with a time of 17:23.  Kevin Konyar (13th) and Ethan Pierce (15th) also advanced to regionals. Both teams placed fourth in the six-team conference, missing team qualifying by slim margins.  You can find full meet results at the following link:
