The boys' and girls' cross country teams both competed at the Hood College High School Invitational on Saturday and had impressive team and individual performances.
The girls' varsity team finished 1st of 12 teams. They had 4 athletes finish in the top 15: Kenzie Konyar in 2nd, Lauren Beatty in 3rd, Quetzali Angel-Perez in 7th, and Elena Farinholt in 10th. The girls' JV team also finished 1st of 8 teams. They had 6 athletes finish in the top 15: Faith Stover in 2nd, Kailee Knisley in 6th, Abby Gillum in 10th, Hannah Nelson in 11th, Theresa Davet in 12th, and Kendall Pierce in 13th.
The boys' varsity team finished 2nd of 15 teams. Nathaniel Woshner was the only boy athlete to finish in the top 15, finishing 3rd overall. The boys' JV team also finished 2nd and had 3 athletes finish in the top 15: Nathan Arce in 1st, David Newman in 5th, and Jake Oliver in 9th.
The teams travel to Clarke County for a tri-meet along with Jefferson, WV.
