On Saturday, the boys' and girls' cross country teams competed in the Buffalo Wild Wings Invitational at Hampshire High School in Romney, WV. Both teams won the respective team titles.
The boys' team had 5 athletes finish in the top 15, earning all-meet honors. They were led by Nathaniel Woshner in 3rd, Nathan Shade in 7th, Chris White in 9th, Liam McDonald in 10th, and Ethan Bowman in 11th.
The girls' team had 4 athletes finish in the top 15. They were led by Elena Farinholt in 3rd, Quetzali Angel-Perez in 5th, Audrey Sandy in 12th, and Isabella Newman in 13th.
In other news, Kenzie Konyar & Lauren Beatty traveled to Cary, NC, to compete at the Great American Cross Country Festival. Lauren finished 56th and Kenzie finished 61st in the Race of Champions, the race division that had 183 of the top athletes and teams in the entire southeast competing.
The teams compete in the City-County meet on Wednesday at Kernstown Battlefield with races starting at 5:30 PM.
