The James Wood competition cheer team again qualified for the 4A state championship after placing 4th in Saturday's 4A West Regional Championship at Rock Ridge High School.  Millbrook finished as the regional champion, followed by Liberty, Rock Ridge, and the Colonels.  The team scored only 3.5 less than Liberty and Rock Ridge in the first round.  Toni Culp and Emily McKee earned 1st team all-region honors, while Emma Hammond and Jamie Marcy earned 2nd team recognition. The team will perform at 12:10 PM on Saturday, November 5 at the Siegel Center at VCU in Richmond. State admission price is $10.00.
