The girls' basketball team defeated Fauquier at home on Tuesday night to advance to the district tournament final.  Fauquier played a tight defense for the first three quarters to keep the score close, but the Colonels pulled away in the 4th quarter for the 60-31 win. The win also puts the girls into the Region C tournament next week. The girls are now 22-3 on the season.

Makayla Firebaugh led all scorers with 18 points, all in the second half. Those points put her over 2,000 points for her career.  Brenna Prunty added 17 points and Brooklyn Crates scored 10. Jenny Kerns and Brynna Nesselrodt both scored 6 points.

The Colonels travel to Millbrook on Thursday for the tournament championship game with tip at 6:00 PM.
