K&K Insurance Group will again be the student accident insurance provider for FCPS for the 2020-2021 school year. FCPS' insurance does not cover accidents or injuries to students; therefore, parents without other insurance are encouraged to purchase this coverage for their child(ren).
Parents can enroll students online at each school's website under Parents and Students/Health Services and then clicking Student Accident Insurance and Student Insurance Plan from K&K. Parents may pay online with a credit card or a check, or they can print out the enrollment form and mail it in with payment.
Plan information and enrollment and claims forms in both English and Spanish are available online and in the main office at each school.
For students’ protection, if medical insurance is not currently provided through the parents’ employer or individual plans, parents are strongly encouraged to purchase insurance from a private vendor or the student accident insurance program available through the school division vendor—K&K Insurance Group. Information about plan types and enrollment instructions can be found online. Go to your child’s school website, click on Parents and Students then Health Services then Student Accident Insurance to be directed to the K&K Insurance Site where plan information and sign up is available. Enrollment and claim forms are also available in each school office.
Frederick County Public Schools’ insurance plan does NOT provide medical coverage for accidents or injuries to students during school or during school-sponsored extracurricular activities.
