The boys' cross country team won its third straight Northwestern District championship this past Saturday at the 3rd Winchester Battlefield course. Junior Nathaniel Woshner fought off defending champion Sam Rodman of Liberty over the final 300 meters to win the individual title in at time of 16:07.  Senior Chris White placed 4th overall, freshman Ethan Pratt-Perez placed 7th, and Liam McDonald was 10th.  The girls' team placed 3rd overall, just 3 points off of qualifying for regionals, with junior Lauren Beatty returning from injury to place 9th for the Colonels.

The boys' team advances to the Region 4C Championships next Tuesday, April 13, at Morven Park in Leesburg. The top two teams and the next three individuals in that race will advance to the VHSL 4A state championships on April 24.
