The varsity baseball team beat previously unbeaten Jefferson, and West Virginia's #1 ranked team, 8-1 at home on Monday night. Kaden Spaid earned the win, going 5 1/3 innings, giving up 1 run on two hits and 9 strikeouts. Nick Bell threw 1 2/3 in relief  with no runs, no hits, and 2 strikeouts.  Spaid also led the Colonels at the plate going 3-4 with 2 doubles, 1 RBI, and 2 stolen bases. Jayden Nixon was 2-3 with 2 RBIs, and Aden Payne was 1-3 with a triple and 2 RBIs.The Colonels JV team also beat Jefferson 13-2.
