The Colonels wrestling team opened the 2016-17 season at the Waynesboro Little Giants Classic this past Saturday.

The team finished with a record of 4-1 in the dual-team format which placed them 3rd overall.  Individual match results were:
Won 69-12 Monticello

Lost 27-48 Cave Springs

Won 58-19 Waynesboro

Won 75-6 Stonewall Jackson

Won 41-26 Western Albemarle

Aaron Black (120) and Bailey Eichelberger (182) both went 5-0 in their respective weight classes, while Josh Arce (113), Corey Lemons (126), Jac Bobadilla (132), Aaron Curd (138), Matt Papastavrou (145), Kobey Brooker (285) all went 4-1.

The Colonels will compete in the Berkeley Springs tournament this Friday and Saturday.
