The varsity girls' basketball team improved to 8-3 on the season with its 55-26 road win over Clarke County on Monday night. The Colonels used a much more balanced scoring attack than in previous games this season with five players scoring eight points or more. Makayla Firebaugh led the team with 14 points and adding 3 steals. Hannah Arnold and Amber Woolridge each scored 10, with Arnold adding a team-high 11 rebounds and 7 blocks. Amanda Christian had 9 points and 8 rebounds, and Hannah Burke scored 8 and had 6 boards.
The Colonels host the Millbrook Pioneers on Tuesday night. Varsity girls and JV boys will tip at 6:00 followed by the varsity boys and JV girls at approximately 7:30. Admission price is $5.00.
