JWHS Swim Team performs well at the Class 4 Championship
The girls team finished their 2021-2022 season 10th in the state. Lauren Masters had a pair of second place finishes in the 50 and 100 Freestyle events. Paige Simko finished 4th in the 100 breaststroke and 8th in the 200 individual medley. The 200 Medley Relay with Leah Snapp, Paige, Lauren, and anchored by Annie Hua finished 9th, while the 200 Free Relay with Annie, Paige, Kallie Gyurisin, and anchored by Lauren finished 11th!
The boys team finished their season 13th place out of a field of 32 teams. Paul Warnagiris had a pair of 7th place finishes in the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke. Andrew Thompson finished 15th in the 100 butterfly and 20th 200 Free! Joe Warnagiris finished 6th in the 100 back and 17th in the 200 IM The boys 200 Medley Relay with Joe, Paul, Andrew, and anchored by Alex Hua finished 10th. The boys 400 Free Relay with Andrew, Trent, Joe and Paul finished 11th, while the boys 200 Free Relay with Reagan Kite, Ethan Britton, Trent, and Alex finished 20th.
