The James Wood Girls Soccer Team continued their win streak with a 1-0 win at Skyline Tuesday night. The Lady Colonels are now 8-0 on the season Jolie Jenkins scored the lone goal in the rain soaked match. Kelsey Gass gave her a beautiful pass for the assist. Sami Stevens had 2 saves. Lydia Watson did a fantastic job keeping the back line organized and helped record the team’s first shutout of the season.
The JV team dominated their game logging a 6-2 victory over the Hawks. Anna Curren and Hailey Hall both had 2 goals. Gemma Solomon added another and Abby Dooley smashed one home too.
The varsity boys' Soccer team improved to 5-2-1 on the season with an 8-0 win over Skyline. Jon Resendiz lead the Colonels with his first career hat trick and one assist. Dashawn Paige with 2 goals, 1 assist. Sam Frigaard (on his bday) had his first career varsity goal and 3 assists, Ryan King 1 goal 2 assists and Brayan Lopez 1 goal. Ben Tanger with 5 shutout. Shots were 22-0. Colonels travel to Handley on Thursday.
The JV team improved to 4-3-1 on season with a 3-0 win over Skyline. Seth Rakowski, Jacob Oliver and Colby Fields had goals and Zach Myers had the shutout.
Colin McGuire tossed a complete game no hitter as the Colonels beat Skyline 4-0 in 6 innings. The Colonels are now 4-3 on the season.
