The Colonels traveled to Skyline on Friday night and hosted Millbrook in makeup games, with both teams earning wins over the Hawks and falling to the Pioneers.  The girls' team beat Skyline 43-31. Amber Wooldridge led the team with 15 points and 3 steals, Hannah Arnold scored 14 and had a team-high 14 rebounds and 4 blocks, and Makayla Firebaugh scored 11 and added 10 rebounds.  The Pioneers upended the Colonels in high-scoring contest on Saturday, 88-61. Firebaugh led the team with 23 points and 12 rebounds, Hannah Arnold scored 11 with 10 rebounds, and Amber Wooldridge added 9 points. 

Despite several key players out with injuries on Friday, the boys' team defeated Skyline 58-53.  On Saturday, the team was able to stay close with the Pioneers the entire game, narrowing the lead to three with just over a minute to play, before falling 51-44 as they were forced to foul to try to regain possession.

The basketball teams will host Sherando on Tuesday night with games at 6:00 for varsity girls and JV boys and 7:30 for varsity boys and JV girls.
