This weekend the Colonels competed at the Class 4 State Meet at Liberty University. The top 8 received a medal and team points, and top three finishers receive all-state honors. The girls placed 11th out of 32 teams with a score of 20 points.

GIRLS:
The girls 4x800m Relay team (Kate Konyar, Katelyn Palmer, Ally Oliver, and Ruby Ostrander) started day 1 by placing 7th with a time of 9:47.77. 

Emma Messick competed in Discus and placed 10th with a mark of 96'2".

Isabelle French ran in the 100m Hurdle trials and placed 10th with a PR time of 16.18. 

During day 2 in the field, Olivia Boyce competed in the Long Jump and placed 10th with a mark of 16-5.75. 

Erin Link competed in Shot Put, also placing 10th, with a mark of 33-11.

First up on the track for Day 2 was the girls 3200m Run. In heat 1, Alina Kieffer placed 3rd in her heat and 10th overall with a time of 11:38.52. In heat 2, Kate Konyar earned her win with a smart race and is the Class 4 3200m State Champion with a time of 11:02.34.

In the 1600m Run, Ruby Ostrander placed 2nd in heat 1 with a PR time of 5:16.64, beating athletes from the fast heat and placing 5th overall. Kate Konyar placed 4th in her heat with a time of 5:17.67, placing her 6th overall. 

Last up for the girls was the 4x400m Relay team (Omaie Aarami, Peyton Sinasac, Melanie Padilla, and Mallory Juvinall), who placed 18th with a time of 4:28.48.

BOYS:
The boys 4x800m Relay team (Nathan Reynolds, Carrick Amerine, Cade Freeman, and Eli Clark) placed 15th with a time of 8:44.47

Jorel Baltimore competed in the 110m Hurdle Trials with a huge PR of 14.94, placing 6th in the trials, earning a spot in the finals. He placed 7th in the finals with a time of 15.20.

Trenton Manili ran in the 100m Prelims and placed 26th overall with a time of 11.41.

On Day 2, Jude Miller competed in the Discus and placed 24th with a mark of 120-1

Eli Clark ran the 3200m and placed 16th with a time of 10:08.60.

The boys 4x100m relay also placed 16th with a time of 44.14 (Ivan Andrews, Connor-Kenney Fitzner, Duncan Stanton, and Trenton Manili).

Jorel Baltimore also competed in the 300m Hurdles and placed 11th with a time of 41.94.

In the last event of the day, the boys 4x400m Relay team (Connor Kenney-Fitzner, Jorel Baltimore, Eli Clark, and Ivan Andrews) placed 16th with a time of 3:32.38.
